Welcome to Get a Living Sense!

Who Am I?

I’m Jamie, and I just graduated from The University of Florida with my B.S. in Advertising, and my M.A. in International Business. That means I’m officially in “the real world” and am working a full-time job that I actually really enjoy. I recently became a certified spin instructor, and am currently studying for my NASM CPT certification, so I’m pretty busy these days. I wouldn’t have it any other way though, because I’m busy doing things that make me happy and that I love. 🙂

What’s In A Name?

The name of my blog comes from a saying my 5-year-old self made up – “Get a living sense.” I told my Dad that he needed to get a living sense one morning, when he suggested that I brush my teeth BEFORE I eat my breakfast! (Crazy idea, huh?) The saying has stuck, and my family and I still jokingly say it to this day. It felt like an appropriate name for my blog about healthy living 🙂

Sportin’ my sweatband at age 5 😛

Why Did I Start This Blog?

Writing is something I have always been told I was good at, but didn’t really enjoy until recently. I figured blogging could allow me to flex my writing muscles while sharing the things I love! After reading numerous other healthy living blogs, I was really inspired to start my own as a way to keep myself on track and accountable with my lifestyle. So far, so good! 🙂
